The Revolution in Egypt 2011 was a great step to the new history, after the revolution, Egypt was in trouble from time to time cause of the political issues in Egypt and the Arabic Area.

The companies used the same campaigns ideas to market their products before and after the revolution, but it was not creative enough to capture the audience attention due to the depression of multi challenges faced the Egyptian People.

So In very tough times how could the companies market to their audience? And how to get engagement in their campaigns and products.

It was a very hard mission to do.

 

In 2015 "Chipsy Egypt" broke expectations, 

Chipsy re-designed the packaging of the chips by adding a unique half-face smile.

Chipsy published a campaign on TV by the comedian-actor Ahmed Helmy, Ahmed call all the Egyptians to take pictures by covering their faces with the Chipsy “laugh” pack, Ahmed Helmey encourage the audience to share their picture with Chipsy smile on Social media with a hashtag:

#ماتوقفش_الضحكة_عندك
Which means "Don't Let The Smile Stop When It Reaches You, and share it with others"

Chips published a YouTube video titled "90 million laughs”

“Video by [Chipsy Egypt]"

Chipsy objectives was:

1-    Help Egyptian people to decrease their depression

2-    To stick the audience with the product in a tough time

3-    Enhance people's moods to be more positive.

4-    Share and interactive the audience themselves with others using Chipsy brand photos.

In my opinion this campaign was the most creative campaign ever as:

1-    Chipy take a mission to help Egyptian people to decrease their depression It was the most positive and creative marketing campaign in Egypt.

2-    The campaign was very simple, funny, and interactive and have positive feelings can be shared.

3-    The campaign audience was to target all community levels from poor people to A+ as Chipy target was to get 90M unique Egyptian smile

4-    The main target was the youth and teenagers who can share his picture on social media with their friends.

 


Chipsy campaign achieved its target as the individuals shared the hashtag and their pictures by themselves to their friends.

·         The campaign gained scored more than 80K views on Facebook in less than 12 hours.

·         In 2 months Chipsy drew the 90M lough
